GRYD

Logo of GANG, GYRD, and YOUTH DEVELOPMENT with a stylized cube and text.

Gang Reduction and Youth Development (GRYD) strengthens youth/young adults, families, and communities to resist gang influence.

GRYD fosters the replacement of gang influence with youth enrichment through public/private collaborations and supporting community-based prevention/intervention* services.

GRYD Programs

  • Case Management

Students are given individualized care, attention support by our case management team to dream big and actualize their potential.

  • Mindfulness

Participants travel to unique ecosystems in the Southern California area, expand their understanding of natural life, and work together in team-building exercises.

  • STEM Tutoring

Through our STEM programming, we expose youth to careers in Science, Technology, Math, and Engineering. We encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and intellectual curiosity.

  • Arts & Enrichment

Participants in GRYD are given the opportunity to enrich their lives and what the world has to offer through both hands-on and experiential encounters with the arts.

  • Sunrise Hikes

Participants venture into nature together with mentors to experience, in community, the beautiful views that California has to offer.

  • Raza Sana

Raza Sana is a therapeutic, once-a-month event that helps parents of youth actively involved in the GRYD program.

*Legacy is a prevention site, not an intervention site. If a youth needs intervention, we can refer them to different agencies to better support them.
