Legacy LA’s Back To School Supply Drive!

We’re gearing up for another amazing school year — and we need your help to make sure every student in our community starts strong!

From July 25th to August 20th, Legacy LA will be collecting school supply donations for our annual Back-to-School Event! Help us support local youth in Ramona Gardens/Boyle Heights by donating new:

  • Notebooks

  • Crayons & Markers

  • Binders & Folders

  • Pens & Pencils

  • Backpacks

  • and more!

Our Mission

Legacy LA's mission is to make positive interventions in the lives of young people by offering alternatives to gangs and violence.

Legacy LA builds the capacity of youth to reach their full potential and equips them with tools to transform their lives and community.

We’re building a legacy by actualizing the dreams of generations.

Numbers

100% of high school seniors applied to and got accepted to a college/university.

100 youth successfully completed a workforce training internship.

75% of high school students improved their grades.

28% of Legacy staff are Legacy LA alumni.

Last year, more than 400 youth engaged in our development programming at Legacy during school, after school, and on weekends.

Outcomes

Our Student Success Programs have a unanimous success rate.

Allowed youth to work on resume building, mock interviews, and career research.

Students became more self-disciplined and advocated for their success.

We are cultivating a cycle of success that provides generation after generation within the community.
