Gang Reduction and Youth Development Prevention:
Legacy LA has partnered with the Violence Intervention Program (Lincoln Heights) and Barrio Action Youth & Family Center (El Sereno) in order to provide programs to "at risk" youth ages 10-15 funded by the Mayor's Office of Gang Reduction and Youth Developmet (GRYD). Legacy LA has developed an After School Program housed at Murchison Elementary School that provides case management, academic support, and fun-filled programs (Workout Circuit, Guitar Lessons, Film Making) that will help keep our youth off the streets and on the path to a brighter future.
Gang Reduction and Youth Development Intervention:
Legacy LA has partnered with SEA Soledad Enrichment Action (Boyle Heights) and Barrio Action Youth & Family Center (El Sereno) to provide comprehensive case management and supportive services to the Ramona Gardens/Hollenbeck GRYD Zone.
Community Engagement:
Legacy LA has assembled a steering committee of community residents, stakeholders, and organization leaders from the Ramona Gardens Community to oversee the planning, development, and implementation of the comprehensive community needs and resource assessment, which will serve as the basis of the architectural programming plan and inform the budgeting for both the renovations and programming budgets.
